Program protection plans include benefits intended to help protect you, your travel investment and your belongings. The basic benefits include:

Program Cancellation/ Interruption Provides you with a reimbursement for the unused, forfeited, prepaid non-refundable insured program costs if you cancel your program for a covered reason or unused, forfeited prepaid non-refundable insured land or water program costs, plus additional transportation costs, if you interrupt your program for a covered reason.

Program Delay Benefits Provides reimbursement when your baggage or personal effects are damaged, lost, or stolen during your trip.

Baggage and Personal Effects provides reimbursement when your baggage or personal effects are damaged, lost or stolen during your trip. Baggage Delay provides reimbursement for the purchase of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles if your baggage is delayed 24 hours or more during your trip.

This benefit may provide reimbursement for the non-refundable program costs when you must cancel your program for covered reasons (such as Sickness, Injury or death of you, a Family Member or Traveling Companion).

Additionally, certain reasons are covered as well, such as: certain air carrier delays, theft of passports or visas, your home or destination being rendered uninhabitable, etc.

Additional terms apply to all covered reasons for Program Cancellation.

This benefit covers may provide reimbursement for the cost of your unused, non-refundable land or water program arrangements and the additional expense to either resume your trip or transport you back to your scheduled return destination, if you interrupt your program due to a covered unforeseen reason listed in the plan.

This benefit may provide medical & expense benefits for a covered sickness or injury incurred while on your program.

This benefit can pay for the transportation expenses incurred to evacuate you to the nearest qualified hospital and/or to return you home. Specific circumstances detailed in the plan must apply.

This benefit covers you for transportation expenses to the nearest place of safety if a formal recommendation from the US State Department is issues to leave a country due to: 1) An area of damage so severe and widespread, that it is deemed uninhabitable or dangerous; 2) civil, military or political unrest; or 3) being expelled or declared a persona non-grata.

This benefit covers you for transportation expenses to the nearest place of safety if a formal recommendation from the US State Department is issued to leave a country due to: 1) a natural disaster such as an earthquake, wild fires or tsunami; 2) civil, military or political unrest; or 3) being expelled or declared a persona non-grata.

This benefit allows you to cancel your program for any reason not otherwise covered by this plan and be reimbursed for 75% of your non-refundable program costs. To be eligible for this coverage, the plan must be purchased within 20 days of the date your initial payment or deposit for the program is received, and you must cancel your program 2 days or more prior to your scheduled departure date. Not available for residents of NY.

For a variety of reasons, it is prudent to purchase program protection when you first book your program (i.e. make your first payment for program arrangements).

Why? Most program protection plans contain one or more time sensitive provisions that could broaden coverage. The time sensitive provisions which are included in our plans apply to several coverage enhancements, such as: Waiver of the Pre-Existing Conditions Exclusion; and the Cancel For Any Reason Benefit.
